Men's Basketball: Mount Union's Nathan Bower-Malone Named All-American

Mount Union senior Nathan Bower-Malone (Stow) was named Second Team All-American.

Bower-Malone is just the second All-American in Mount Union history joining DeAllen Jackson (2017).

This is the highest award a Purple Raider has been named by as Jackson was a Fourth Team pick in 2017.

Bower-Malone was named Second Team All-American by the NABC, Region Player of the Year by D3Hoops, All-Region First Team by the NABC and was selected to play in the 2020 Reese's Division III College All-Star game.

Bower-Malone was named Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Year and led the team in scoring with 17.4 points per game and assists with 5.2 assists per game. Jackson was ranked in the top-10 in a lot of statistical categories in the OAC – assists (1st), free throw-percentage (1st), points per game (4th), free throws made per game (4th), minutes (7th) and field goals made per game (9th).

Bower-Malone finishes his career as the third most prolific scorer in Mount Union history with 1,485 career points. Bower-Malone also broke the school record for points in a game with 53 and career games record with 110 games played in his four-year career.

Bower-Malone is only the third Purple Raider in program history to earn OAC Player of the Year honors joining Shipp (1996-97) and Jackson (2016-17).
