Alek Erwin is in his ninth year as an assistant men's and women's cross country and track and field coach at Mount Union. Alek has lead Mount Union’s Men’s Cross Country program to two national meets in 2022 and 2023 finishing 31^st and 25^th.

He has coached eight different track athletes to the national meet in 13 different events and has coached three different cross country athletes to the national meet as individuals.

Erwin ran at fellow OAC member Wilmington College and in 2014, he earned All-OAC honors as he broke seven records.

In high school, Erwin was a four-letter Varsity athlete in cross country, track and basketball at Northeastern High School in Springfield, Ohio.

Erwin graduated with a Bachelors of Science and majored in sports management administration at Wilimington.
