Zac Bruney is in his third season on the PurpleRaiders coaching staff and works with the wide receivers. Ayear ago, the offense was No. 1 in the nation in passefficency.
Bruney, a two-year starter and four-year letterwinner atquarterback for Mount Union graduated in 2005 and spent two yearsas an assistant coach with the Purple Raiders before spending twoseason as an assistant coach at The University of Toledo.
As a player, Bruney was the top rated passer in all of NCAADivision III in 2003 and 2004 and was the 2004 recipient of thethen Gregory Award as the top offensive back in the Ohio AthleticConference. His 5,769 career passing yards is thefifth-highest total in Mount Union history.
Bruney, an Academic All-American, also earned the 2005 OAC ClydeLamb Award as one of the top male scholar athletes in theconference and along with a bachelor's degree from Mount Unionholds a master’s degree from Toledo.
