ALLIANCE, Ohio--The Purple Raiders (12-2, 0-1OAC) fell in a hard-fought five-set match to #14 ranked Ohio Northern (10-4, 1-0 OAC) by the score of (19-30, 30-27, 30-23, 24-30, 11-15) in their season-opening Ohio Athletic Conference match on Wednesday, September 19 at the Timken Gymnasium.

Top performers for the Raiders included Sarah Parker with 19 kills and 10 blocks while Amanda Kohler contributed with 16 kills. Kohler also led the team in digs with 31. Sarah Dean and Tracy Reshcke added 24 each respectively. Reshcke also finished the match with 60 assists.

Mount Union next travels to Wooster to compete in a tri-match against Wittenberg and Wooster on Saturday, September 22.
