Men's Soccer Loses Hard Fought Game to Capital in Overtime

(ALLIANCE, OH)—Mount Union College men's soccer team fell short in a 1-0 loss to Capital

Junior Bobby Petras had five saves against Capital Saturday afternoon

University in overtime in an Ohio Athletic Conference Saturday afternoon at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.

The Purple Raiders drop to 6-10-1 overall and 1-6 in the OAC, while the Crusaders move to 12-4 overall and 6-1 in the OAC.

Junior Bobby Petras (Columbia Station/Columbia) had a solid performance and kept the Purple Raiders in the game with five saves.

Capital's forward Steven McCarthy scored the only goal of the game in the 92nd minute in overtime.  The goal gave Capital the 1-0 victory.

Mount Union next plays Tuesday at 7 p.m. for an OAC match against Marietta at Mount Union Stadium.
