The win was Mount Union's second straight and moves its record
to 7-1 overall and 2-1 in the OAC, while Baldwin-Wallace remains
winless in the OAC (0-3) and is 2-6 overall.
Along with Switzer, fellow senior Luke Conley
(Louisville/Louisville) scored 14 points to pace the Raiders.
Louis Tumblin scored 15 points to lead the Yellow Jackets.
A back and fourth first half that featured nine ties and
four lead changes saw Mount Union take control when the
Raiders were leading 26-24 and got a jumper from Conley and
three-pointer from King to extend the lead to 31-24 with five
minutes left in half. Mount Union would take an
eight-point lead, 38-30 into the lockers.
The Raiders opened the second half on a 14-4 run to take their
largest lead of the game, 51-34 on a Ben Hodkinson
(Tippecanoe/Harrison Central) three-pointer with 14:16 left in the
contest.
The Raiders next play Saturday at home against Otterbein in an
OAC game at 3 p.m. with all fans being admitted FREE for the
game.
