(NEW WILMINGTON, Pa.)--Mount Union College's volleyball team
posted two more 3-0 sweeps against Point Park (Pa.) College (25-10,
25-13, 25-12) and Allegheny (Pa.) College (25-18, 25-17, 25-14)
Friday at the Westminster Volley Against Violence in New
Wilmington, Pa.
Mount Union (9-1) got 11 kills from sophomore Monica Hupertz
(Willoughby Hills/Beaumont), 26 assists from freshman Julie Radigan
(Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) while sophomores Sarah Dean
(Strongsville/Walsh Jesuit) and Elyse Perry
(Springfield/Springfield Shawnee) had 18 digs and two blocks
respectively.
Against Allegheny, junior Melissa Mahnke (North Royalton/North
Royalton) had 12 kills and nine digs, Radigan tallied 40 assists
and Dean had nine digs while sophomore Roni Schroeder
(Shelby/Shelby) posted three blocks.
The Purple Raiders return to action at the torunament on Saturday
against Georgian Court (N.J.) College and Penn State-Behrend.
