Cold Spell Continues For Men's Basketball

Mount Union falls to 9-7 overall and closes out the first half of OAC play with a 3-6 record, while Ohio Northern stands at 11-4 overall and 5-3 in the OAC.

Senior guard Chris Switzer (Euclid/Stow-Munroe Falls) tallied a team-high 19 points to lead Mount Union, while sophomore Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) was the only other Purple Raider in double figures with 13 points.

Kyle Meyer scored a game-high 22 points as he was a perfect 10-for-10 from the floor and Ezra Bradshaw had 18 points to pace the Polar Bears.

Ohio Northern never trailed as they opened the game on a 10-2 run and extended that lead to as many as 13 by halftime leading 39-26 at the break.  They pushed that lead as far as 25 points in the second half.

Mount Union takes a week off before playing next Saturday at 3 p.m. against Muskingum at Timken Gymnasium in Alliance.
