Muskingum (8-9, 5-5 OAC) finished the game with 11
three-pointers as Cory Bourquin had 17 points to lead five
Muskies in double figures.
Mount Union (9-8, 3-7 OAC) suffered through a five minute
scoring drought and missed all seven of its three-point attempts in
the first half, while the Muskies finished the first half hitting
61.5-percent of their shots (16-of-26) with eight three-pointers to
take a commanding 42-23 lead.
The Muskies kept up in the second half extending the margin
to as many as 23 points, 64-41 before the 78-62
final.
Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) scored a game-high
18 points, Jay Mathis (Tallmadge/Tallmadge) tallied 16 and Chris
Switzer (Euclid/Stow-Munroe Falls) netted 14 to pace Mount
Union.
Mount Union next plays Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Baldwin-Wallace
College in Berea.
