Otterbein never trailed and the win moved its record to 4-17
overall and 2-12 in the OAC, while Mount Union fell to 11-10
overall and 5-9 in the conference.
Brian Pollock scored 20 of his game-high 24 points in the first
half and Cory Ratai had 19 to lead Otterbein.
Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) posted 21 points and
Chris Switzer (Euclid/Stow-Munroe Falls) put 20 for Mount
Union,
After the Cardinals hot start, they would stretch the lead to as
many as 11 points before taking a seven-point lead, 38-31 at the
half.
Pellerite would open the second half with a three to cut the margin
to four before Ratai would nail three straight layups to push the
lead back to 10 points. Otterbein would maintain a double
digit margin for the rest of the half until the final seconds.
Mount Union next plays Wednesday, Feb. 11 at 7 p.m., at nationally
ranked Capital University at The Capital Center in Bexley.
