Katy Miller had a game-high 18 points, Carla Lewis had 14 and Laura Roth had 10 points all in the second half for the Cardinals.

Mount Union would jump out to a 12-6 lead to start the game, before Otterbein would answer with nine-straight to take a 17-12 lead with 13:34 left in the half.  Mount Union surged ahead again with an 8-2 burst to retake the lead 20-19 and the team's would exchange the lead five times the remainder of the half until Otterbein would take a 36-33 lead at the half.

The Cardinals would score nine of the first 11 points of the second half and a layup by Roth at the 17:18 mark gave them their largest lead of the game, 45-35.  Over the next two minutes, the Raiders would come right back with nine points in a row to close the gap to a point, 45-44.

Otterbein would take the lead back out six points at 52-46 with just under 13 minutes left when Crider would nail back-to-back threes to tie the game at 52.  The teams would again go back and forth each taking turns with the lead and a Lewis layup with 5:58 to play gave Otterbein a 62-61 lead.  That would be the final field goal the Cardinals would make as Mount Union would three Otterbein turnovers and finish the game on an 8-1 run for the win.
