(CINCINNATI, OH)--Mount Union College's volleyball team ran its record to 8-0 on the season with a 3-0 (25-22, 25-13, 26-24) win over Denison University and a 3-1 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18, 25-15) win against The College of Mount St. Joseph at the MSJ Invitational Saturday in Cincinnati, OH.
All-American senior Melissa Mahnke (North Royalton/North Royalton) and junior Sarah Dean (Strongsville/Walsh Jesuit) were both selected to the All-Tournament team.
Mahnke posted 15 kills and 21 digs while Dean had 41 digs in the win against tournament host Mt. St. Joseph.
Senior Sarah Parker (Geneva/Geneva) and junior Roni Schroeder (Shelby/Shelby) had 12 and nine kills respectively against Mt. St. Joseph, while sophomore Julie Radigan (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) had 46 assists.
Mount Union returns to southwest Ohio next weekend participating in the Wittenberg University Border Battle Tournament in Springfield.
