(ALLIANCE, OH)-Mount Union College's volleyball team posted a pair of 3-0 sweeps against Westminster (PA) College (25-10, 25-10, 25-11) and Denison University (28-26, 25-20, 25-17) Friday during the first day of the Mount Union Invitational at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The sweep keeps the Purple Raiders perfect on the season at 3-0 overall.

Against Westminster, senior Melissa Mahnke (North Royalton/North Royalton), totaled 11 kills, four digs and six aces, sophomore Julie Radigan (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) finished with 30 assists and junior Sarah Dean (Strongsville/Walsh Jesuit) finished with 14 digs to lead the Purple Raiders.

In the win over Denison, Mahnke had 13 kills, Radigan posted 34 assists while Dean had 18 digs.

The Purple Raiders finish pool play Saturday at 10 am against Adrian (MI) College then will play another match in the afternoon.
