Men's Basketball Season Ends With Loss at Wilmington in OAC Tournament

Wilmington (19-7) got 21 points and 11 rebounds from senior forward Brandon Rodgers to win its first OAC Tournament game since 2006.  The Quakers will take on Capital in the semifinals Friday at 8 pm at John Carroll.

Junior forward Dave Pellerite (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) had a game-high 25 points while sophomore forwards Matt Wier (New Castle, PA/Mohawk) and Jimmy Wood (Wintersville/Indian Creek) had 12 and 10 points respectively to lead Mount Union (11-15).

Wilmington never trailed in the game and led by seven, 34-27 at the half.

Mount Union closed to within a point, 41-40 midway through the second half but missed on three straight possessions to gain the lead.

The Quakers then put the game away with a 10-2 run and went on to the victory.
