ALLIANCE, Ohio – Thomas Beck (Poland/Cardinal Mooney) scored both Purple Raider goals in the second half, lifting the Mount Union men's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Geneva (2-1-1) at Mount Union Stadium on Saturday.

Beck scored his first goal in the 72nd minute on a lead pass from forward Dylan Walls (Columbus/St. Francise DeSales). His second goal came in the 84th minute on a penalty kick.

Goalkeeper Jon Critell (Youngstown/Cardinal Mooney) recorded his second shutout of the season for Mount Union (2-2-1).  Critell finished with eight saves while Golden Tornado goalkeeper Evan Biedenbach stopped six shots on goal.

The Raiders will be in action again Wednesday at Bethany (W. Va.).
