Box Score 2 ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's volleyball team stretched its
winning streak to 10 matches -- first with a sweep over Ohio
Athletic Conference foe Wilmington and then with a sweep of Bethany
on Saturday at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
Roni
Schroeder (Shelby/Shelby) led the attack with 14 kills in the
Purple Raiders' 25-15, 25-13, 25-16 victory over Wilmington. Leah Hirsch
(Frankfort/Adena) and Monica Hupertz
(Willoughby Hills/Beaumont) added seven kills apiece.
Also for Mount Union, Julie Radigan
(Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) made 31 assists and Sarah Dean
(Strongsville/Walsh Jesuit) had 14 digs.
The Raiders claimed a 25-18, 25-17, 25-11 decision in their
match against the Bison.
Deanna
Glass (Medina/Medina) finished with 10 kills while Hirsch and
Schroeder contributed seven each. Hupertz added six.
Radigan had 32 assists, Dean made 15 digs and Schroeder came
through with five blocks.
The Purple Raiders (11-4, 1-0) will be in action next on
Wednesday when they host Marietta for a 7 p.m. start.
