ERIE, Pa. -- The Mount Union men's tennis team dropped a 6-3
decision at Penn State Behrend (Pa.) on Wednesday.
Patrick
Yackmack (Mantua/Twinsburg) was both a singles and doubles
victor for the Purple Raiders. He won at No. 3 singles over David
Buiter, 6-3, 6-3, and then teamed with Yasuhiro Anno
(Fukucka, Japan/Kyushu Kokusai Daigaku Fuzoku) for a 9-7 win at
second doubles.
Braden Rucinsky (Wooster/Kidron Central Christian) also scored a
point for Mount Union. He won his No. 5 singles match over Jake
Fling, 6-4, 0-6, 10-5.
The Raiders (0-2) will return to action on Friday with a 3:30
p.m. match at Ohio Wesleyan.
