ALLIANCE, Ohio – A goal Thomas Beck (Poland/Cardinal Mooney)  in the 31st minute was not enough as Mount Union dropped an Ohio Athletic Conference game to Capital, 4-1, Saturday at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.

Beck drilled in a scissor-kick off a perfectly placed pass in the box by Chris Motley (Kent/St. Vincent-St. Mary) in the 31st minute.

For Capital, Daniel McCarthy scored goals in the 38th and 73rd minute to power the Crusaders to the win. 

The loss drops the Purple Raiders to 2-3-2 in the OAC, 7-7-2 overall and they return to action Tuesday hosting Muskingum at 7 p.m.
