Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio—The Mount Union volleyball team fell in straight sets to Otterbein, a team they defeated earlier in the season on a neutral court, Saturday afternoon at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
Senior Julie Radigan (Olmsted Falls/Olmsted Falls) was recognized prior to the match as the team's only senior. She then went on to lead the Purple Raiders with 24 assists, nine kills, and a .692 hitting percentage.
Taylor Webb (Geneva/Geneva) added eight kills in the 21-25, 15-25, 22-25 loss to the Cardinals. Mount Union's defense was led by Lauren Mastroine (Orrville/Orrville) with 19 digs and Deanna Glass (Medina/Medina) with three blocks.
With the win, Otterbein (25-4, 8-1) extends their winning streak to 14 matches and takes sole possession of second place in the Ohio Athletic Conference. The Cardinals, who had a team hitting percentage of .364, were led by Aly Nagle's 17 kills. Tabatha Piper had 38 assists and Lindsey Russell added 17 digs.
Mount Union (21-7, 7-2) will be the No. 3 seed in next week's OAC Tournament. It will host Capital on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in a first-round matchup.
