WILMINGTON, Ohio -- No. 20 Mount Union handed No. 25 Wilmington its first home loss of the season, 76-55  in a battle of nationally ranked teams in an Ohio Athletic Conference women's matchup Saturday in Wilmington.

Mount Union (8-1, 3-1 OAC) got a game-high 17 points and six rebounds from senior forward Amanda Rose (Green/Green), junior point guard Rosa LaMattina (Westlake/Westlake) had 15 points and six steals while senior guard Kori Wiedt (North Olmsted/North Olmsted) finished with 13 points.

Brianna Peters had 16 points and Shelby Kies had 10 points to lead Wilmington (6-2, 3-2 OAC).

The Quakers held a 6-4 lead before a 12-2 run capped by a LaMattina three-pointer gave the Raiders an 16-8 with 11:43 left in the half.  Wilmington would answer with a 9-2 run of its own to get back to within a point, 18-17, before the Raiders doubled up the Quakers the rest of the half outscoring them 23-11 to lead 41-28 at the break.

Mount Union never looked back extending the margin to as many as 26 points before finishing with the 76-55 win.

The Raiders have little time to rest as they fly to Daytona Beach, Fla. Sunday then play games Monday against Bates (Me.) and Tuesday versus Drew (N.J.).
