ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's tennis team was edged by Otterbein, 5-4, in Ohio Athletic Conference play on Saturday at the Peterson Fieldhouse.
Nate Fockler (North Canton/North Canton Hoover) was the Purple Raiders' only multiple winner. He won the second singles match over Tyler Brodhead, 7-5, 7-6 (7-0), and then teamed with Patrick Yackmack (Mantua/Twinsburg) for an 8-5 victory over Brodhead and Ryan Catanese at No. 2 doubles.
Zach Perry (Hudson/Hudson) and Jeff Looker (Stow/Stow-Munroe Falls) were also singles victors for Mount Union.
Perry defeated Steven Albert, 6-1, 6-0, in No. 1 singles. Looker claimed his victory against Ryan Roberts at sixth singles, 7-6 (7-5), 6-2.
The Purple Raiders will be in action next on Monday when they host Marietta for a 3:30 p.m. OAC match.
