ALLIANCE, Ohio -- The 16th-ranked Mount Union volleyball team remained unbeaten in the Ohio Athletic Conference after its convincing three-set win (25-6, 25-16, 25-13) over Capital on Saturday afternoon.

The win, which came on the Purple Raiders' Homecoming weekend, marked the squad's 18th of the season.

Senior Kristen Gromes (Navarre/Fairless) led Mount Union with 20 digs.  Sophomore Nicole Snyder (Mentor/Lake Catholic) topped the kills category for the Raiders, finishing with nine.  Sophomore Sarah Schleich (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) paced the Raiders in assists (20) and senior Dee Glass (Medina/Medina) posted five blocks.   

Mount Union is now 18-5 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the OAC.  Capital fell to 10-17 overall and 2-3 in conference play.  

Tuesday, the Raiders take on Muskingum at home.  Match time is slated for 7 p.m.  The match represents the first time Mount Union has played consecutive home matches this season and is the school's "Dig For The Cure" match to benefit cancer awareness.
