N. MANCHESTER, Ind. -- Mount Union senior Rosa LaMattina  (Westlake/Westlake) had 14 points, five rebounds and four assists on her way to tournament MVP honors as she led the No. 6 ranked Purple Raiders to a 66-50 over host Manchester (Ind.) a the Bankers Classic Tournament.

Sophomore Aly Daniel (Williard/Willard) had 12 points off the bench while senior Tierney Allen (Alliance/Alliance) had 10 rebounds while fellow senior Marybeth Leitch (Rocky River/Rocky River) earned all-tournament honors for the Raiders.

Mount Union is now 2-0 on the season and has won 25-straight non-conference games dating back to the 2008-09 season.

Erynn Meikeljohn had a game-high 23 points for Manchester (0-2).

With the score tied at 9-9, Mount Union went on a 14-6 run to take a 23-15 lead with 7:44 left to play in the first half which would be the same margin it took into the locker room up 32-24 at the break.

The Raiders never looked back extending the lead to as many as 17 in the second half before the 16-point victory.

Mount Union hosts Bethany (W.Va.) in the home opener Tuesday at 6 pm at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex on campus.
