HILTON HEAD, S.C.—The Mount Union men's tennis team fell in defeat, 6-3, to Roanoke (Va.) in action Wednesday.

Freshman Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) earned two of the three points for the Purple Raiders as he was victorious in both singles and double play. Fockler won No. 2 singles in straight sets, 6-3, 6-0, and paired with older brother, Nate Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) to take first doubles, 8-5.

Ben Swope (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) and Patrick Yackmack (Mantua/Twinsburg) also earned a win for the Raiders as they took second doubles, 8-6.

Mount Union (4-3) will take on St. John Fisher (N.Y.) at noon on Thursday.
