BEXLEY, Ohio—Mount Union's men's tennis team got a crucial 6-3 win over Capital Wednesday night as the team seeks a home match in the Ohio Athletic Conference tournament next month.

Patrick Yackmack (Mantua/Twinsburg) was one of three Purple Raiders who were victorious in both singles and doubles action against the Crusaders. Yackmack defeated Tommy Stein, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 3 singles and paired with Ben Swope (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) to beat Stein and Adrian Tolentino at second doubles, 9-7.

Nate Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) and Swope were the other Raiders that earned multiple wins in the match. Fockler won at No. 1 singles and teamed with his brother, Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover), to win at first doubles. Swope won at No. 4 singles to accompany his doubles win with Yackmack.

Drew LeGendre (Toledo/Bowsher) earned the final point of the match for the Raiders at fifth singles.

Mount Union will be back in action on Saturday when Heidelberg pays a visit to Alliance for a 1 pm starting time.
