WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Mount Union men's soccer team battled Washington and Jefferson to a scoreless draw on Saturday afternoon.

Senior goalkeeper Jon Critell (Youngstown/Cardinal Mooney) turned away three shots for the Purple Raiders.  For Critell it extended his school-record number of career shutouts to 20. 

Goalkeepers Josh Winters and Jon Best combined for the shutout for the President's.

The Raiders outshot the President's 15-8 as  Joey Trocchio (Ravenna/Rootstown) had a game-high six shots.

Christopher Watson led W&J (0-3-1) with two shots.

Mount Union (2-2-1) next hosts Waynesburg (Pa.) in a non-conference matchup Wednesday Sept, 19 at 7 pm at Mount Union Stadium in Alliance.
