ALLIANCE, Ohio -- Mount Union's men's soccer team out-shot visiting Waynesburg (Pa.) 23-8 but could not find the net as the Purple Raiders lost 2-0 Wednesday night at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders fall to 2-3-1 on the season while Waynesburg moves to 4-3 overall.

Waynesburg led 1-0 at halftime on a goal by Victor Browne in the 36th minute.

Mount Union continued to generate offense in the second half as the Raiders had 14 shots in the period, but Waynesburg keeper Brandon Daughtry was up to the challenge and had six saves for the game.

James Sneed tacked on an insurance goal in the 89th minute for the 2-0 final.

Mount Union next plays at Allegheny (Pa.) Wednesday, Sept. 26 at 7:30 pm in Meadville, Pa.
