Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union women's basketball team defeated Hanover (Ind.) 87-75 in the championship game of the M-Club Shootout Saturday evening at the McPherson Athletic and Academic Complex.
Tournament MVP Annie Bova (Parma Heights/Beaumont) had 21 points to lead the Raiders which had 12 different players score.
Nancy Osborne (North Canton/GlenOak), an all-tournament team selection, set a new career-high with 17 points, Katie Reed (Alliance/Marlington) chipped in with 10 and Sarah Grippi set a new career-high as she led the team with 14 rebounds.
Stephanie Pahren had 11 points and five rebounds to lead Hanover.
Mount Union would open the game with a three-pointer from Osborne, but Hanover would go on a 9-0 run and a Jesse Davidson jumper with 16:41 left in the first half gave the Panthers a 12-4 lead.
The Raiders would rally and tie the game on three occasions leading up to the 40-40 tie going into the half.
The Panthers would open the second half going on 11-4 run take their biggest lead of the half, 51-44 with 17:57 left.
With Hanover up 62-55, the Raiders would rally with a 10-1 run finished with a Cassi Bowen layup to take the lead for good 65-63 with 6:58 to play.
Mount Union (4-0) travels to Bethany (W.Va) when they play Bethany at 6 pm on Tuesday, November 26th.
