ALLIANCE, Ohio - - Mount Union's men's tennis team lost 6-3 to Capital in an Ohio Athletic Conference match Tuesday afternoon at the Whitehill Tennis Courts.
With the victory, Capital improves to 10-3 overall and 5-0 in the OAC while Mount Union falls to 11-5 and 2-4 in the conference.
Sophomore Nick Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) picked up two victories on the afternoon as he defeated Kenny Duncan 6-3, 6-2 in the no. 2 singles match and was paired with his brother senior Nate Fockler (North Canton/Hoover) as they defeated Luke Buchanan and Spencer Walter 9-8 (9-7 in tiebreak) in the no. 1 doubles match.
Freshman Dominic Marino (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) recorded the third point for the Purple Raiders as he defeated Jared Judson 5-7, 6-4, 11-9 in the no. 6 singles match.
The Raiders return to action Saturday when they travel to Tiffin, Ohio to face Heidelberg at 1:00 p.m.
