ADA, Ohio -- Four players scored in double figures as the Mount Union men's basketball team scored a 71-67 Ohio Athletic Conference road win Saturday at Ohio Northern.

Sophomore Jarrett Ruffin (Northfield/Nordonia) tallied a game-high 14 points with five rebounds and three blocked shots to lead Mount Union (10-2, 5-0 OAC) to its eighth straight win as the Purple Raiders stayed undefeated in OAC play.

Junior Nate Jacubec (Struthers/Struthers) and sophomores Cody Dillon (Newton Falls/Newton Falls) and Kyle Sczela (Stow/Stow) each had 11 points as the other doube digit scorers for Mount Union.

Dominique Royal scored 12 points to pace Ohio Northern (7-6, 3-3 OAC).

The Raiders led for all but 35 seconds of the contest building a 15-point first half lead as they led 39-24 at the break.  Mount Union got 10 points from Jacubec in the first half.

Ohio Northern rallied to close to gap to three points on two occasions -- the final time 66-63 with 1:14 remaining but Mount Union made 5-of-6 free throws and kept the Polar Bears from scoring another field goal to preserve the 71-67 victory.

Mount Union returns home to face No. 19 ranked Marietta next Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 7:30 pm.  The game will be a rematch of last year's OAC Tournament title game won in overtime by the Pioneers.
