Box Score TIFFIN, Ohio - The No. 6 ranked Mount Union volleyball team dropped their first Ohio Athletic Conference matchup to Heidelberg 25-21, 25-12, 25-20 on Saturday.
This is Mount Union's first conference loss on the road since 2010.
The Purple Raiders (21-4, 4-1 OAC) were led by Nicole Snyder (Mentor/Lake Catholic) with 13 kills and Lauren Mastroine (Orrville/Orrville) with 20 digs. Sarah Schleich (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) handed out 20 assists for the Raiders.
Heidelberg improves their record to 15-11 overall and 4-2 in the OAC. They were led by Sarah Parker and Jamie Kluding with nine kills each and Stephanie Romie added 23 assists.
Mount Union was haunted by 10 service errors and seven receiving errors during the game.
The volleyball team returns home on Tuesday, October 21 to play Muskingum at 7pm in Alliance.
