ALLIANCE, Ohio— Mount Union men's soccer team rallied to tie the game but eventually fell 2-1 to Muskingum in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Wednesday at Mount Union Stadium.

The Purple Raiders drop to 7-8 overall and 1-5 in the OAC while the Muskies advance to 5-11 overall and 1-5 in the OAC.

Muskingum scored first in the 12th minute and took a 1-0 lead into halftime.

A free kick by Mount Union freshman Jesse Tinney (Heidelberg/ Chartiers Valley) led to a header goal for junior Mitchell Tiah (Grayson, Ga./Grayson) tying the game 1-1 at the 58:25 mark of the second half.

The Muskies got the eventual game-winner from Quenan Martin in the 69th minute then held off some Mount Union chances late for the win.

Mount Union next travels to Wilmington for an OAC match Saturday, Oct. 25 at 7 pm.
