Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio - The No. 7 Mount Union volleyball team dropped their final regular season home game of the year to No. 11 Juniata 12-25, 27-25, 20-25, 25-17, 19-17 on Saturday in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.
Mount Union (25-5, 8-1 OAC) had three players with double digit kills. Senior Nicole Snyder (Mentor/Lake Catholic) and junior Kara Berger (Mentor/Mentor) each had 13 kills to lead the team. Mel Patterson (Mentor/Lake Catholic) added 10 kills for the Purple Raiders.
Senior Lauren Mastroine (Orrville/Orrville) had a game-high 42 digs, her second 40+ dig game of the season. Senior Sarah Schleich (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) paced the Raider attack with 31 assists.
Juniata (25-7, 7-0 LC) was led by Kelly Reynolds with a game-high 57 assists and Bryce Arnold with 10 kills and 17 digs.
Snyder, Patterson, Mastroine, Schleich, Sara Brown, Allison Insana, Brittany Woodard and student coach Laurin Hampton were honored pre-game in their last home game of the regular season.
The volleyball team will play in the first round of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament on Tuesday, November 4 at 7:00pm in Alliance.
