Box Score ALLIANCE, Ohio—Mount Union women's basketball team dropped their season opener to Case Western Reserve, 57-48, in day one of the Greg Richards Memorial Tournament at Allegheny College in Meadville, Pa.
Junior, Katie Reed (Alliance, Marlington) led the Raiders with 10 points off the bench while senior Chandler Moore (Girard, Pa./Girard) and junior Annie Bova (Parma Heights/Beaumont) led the Raiders on the boards each grabbing six while the Raiders combined for 14 offensive rebounds.
Senior Berit Eppard paced Case (1-0) leading the team with 14 points and 11 rebounds while Brooke Orcutt added 11 points and eight rebounds.
At halftime, the Raiders led by one before Case would finish the game up nine as the game would see 13 different lead changes.
The Raiders resume play tomorrow, Nov. 16, at noon as they play in the consolation game of the Greg Richards Memorial Tournament against either Allegheny College or Penn State-Altoona.
