Box Score Mount Union's women's basketball team fell 60-50 Saturday in Ohio Athletic Conference game at Ohio Northern in Ada, Ohio.
The Purple Raiders (11-12, 5-11 OAC) were led by junior Aly Daniel who scored 10 points off the bench.
Ohio Northern (19-4, 12-4 OAC) was led by Cenzie Yoder's 16 points and Jordan Kimes' 15 points.
Mount Union scored the opening basket to take its only lead of the game 2-0. The Polar Bears took the advantage after a 9-2 run with just under 16:00 to play in the first half.
Ohio Northern led by six points with 5:00 remaining before the Raiders erased the deficit making a pair of three-pointers to end the half. The halftime score was even at 25-25.
In the second half the Polar Bears went on two separate runs of 11-2 and 8-0 to take a 13 point lead, 55-42, with 4:39 in the game. Mount Union would get no closer than nine the rest of the way
Mount Union will finish its regular season hosting Marietta on Wednesday February 19 at 7:30 pm and Wilmington Saturday February 22 at 3 pm both at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex in Alliance, Ohio.
