ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's tennis team ran its record to 7-0 on the season with a 7-2 win over Franciscan Saturday in Alliance, Ohio.
The Purple Raiders are now a perfect 7-0, while Franciscan falls to 2-7 on season.
Rob DeMarco (North Canton/Hoover) defeated Zack Quiza 6-2, 6-0, in the two spot and Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/St.Edwards) defeated Luke Merry 6-2, 6-2 in the four spot.
Franciscan (2-7) took one singles and one doubles match for its two points.
Mount Union opens Ohio Athletic Conference play next Saturday, March 29 at 1 pm against Ohio Northern in Alliance.
