ADRIAN, Mich. - The No. 8 Mount Union volleyball team remains unbeaten after two wins at the Adrian Tri-Match on Friday.

The Purple Raiders (5-0) defeated Alma (Mich.) 25-23, 25-15, 25-18 and then beat host team Adrian 25-10, 25-13, 25-15. This is Alma's first loss of the season as they drop to 6-1. After the loss Adrian's record drops to 2-5.

Mount Union was led offensively by Nicole Snyder (Mentor/Lake Catholic) with 13 kills against Alma and 11 kills against Adrian.

Mallory Sliman (Amherst/Amherst Steele) contributed to the attack with 6 kills and 9 kills in the two matches

Sarah Schleich (Westfield Center/Cloverleaf) controlled the offense by handing out 46 total assists on the weekend.

Defensively the Raiders were led by Lauren Mastroine (Orrville/Orrville) who had 29 total digs.

The volleyball team will next be in action Wednesday, September 10 at 7:00 p.m. as they play host to Case Western Reserve.
