GROVE CITY, Pa. - Mount Union's men's tennis team defeated Grove City (Pa.) 8-1 in a non- conference match on Thursday.
The Purple Raiders advance to 2-1 on the season while the Wolverines fall to 1-6.
The Raiders swept the doubles play with Malcolm Leake (Fremont/Fremont Ross) and Jackson Schneider (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) defeating Grove City's Jon Fleet and Nathan Roberts 8-1 in position two.
In singles action, Mount Union won all but one match with Rob DeMarco (North Canton/Hoover) scoring a straight set win against Fleet in the second position.
The Raiders are off until its annual spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C. in March.
