BEREA, Ohio- Mount Union's volleyball team won an Ohio Athletic Conference match in four sets against Baldwin Wallace Tuesday.

The Purple Raiders (14-7, 3-1 OAC) beat the Yellow Jackets (19-5, 1-3 OAC) by scores of 25-20, 29-27, 17-25 and 25-23.

Sophomore Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) set up the offense with 24 assists. Schenk also had 10 digs and contributed five kills to the Raiders win.

Freshman outside hitter Sabrina Ochoa (North Royalton/Padua Franciscan) led the Raiders offensively with a career high of 12 kills. Junior right side hitter Caitlyn Synek (Independence/Independence) tallied eight kills while sophomore outside hitter Morgan Chapman (Seven Fields, Pa./Seneca Valley) also added eight.

Senior defensive specialist Abby Riffee (Mineral Ridge/Mineral Ridge) led the defense with 14 digs with freshman defesnive specialist Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) adding 11 digs for the Raiders.

Mount Union came out strong in the first set winning 25-20. The Yellow Jackets would test the Raiders in the second, but didn't quite pull through with the Raiders winning 29-27. BW came back to win the third set 25-16, but Mount Union didn't let that stop them winning the fourth set 25-23.

The Raiders are back in action on Saturday hosting Heidelberg at 1 pm.
