NEW CONCORD, Ohio – The Mount Union men's soccer team fell to Ohio Athletic Conference opponent Muskingum in double overtime 2-1.

Muskingum (4-11, 1-5) scored the game winner in double overtime when C. Michael Hilliard took a ball tipped in the air by Zach Schmauch and fired it in the back of the net to give the Fighting Muskies their first conference win of the season.

Muskingum jumped out on top in the 32^nd minute of the game as Logan Lazar rocketed a ball from 30 yards out that found the back of the net to give the Fighting Muskies a 1-0 lead.

Mount Union (7-6-1, 2-4) answered in the 55^th minute as sophomore Aaron Liezert (Medina/Medina) scored on a free kick from 30 yards out to even the score at 1-1.

The Purple Raiders continue OAC play as they next host Wilmington on Saturday, October 24 at 4 pm.
