ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's volleyball team rolled over Wilmington Saturday in an Ohio Athletic Conference match in the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The Purple Raiders (15-9, 4-3 OAC) never trailed in the match in route to a 25-7, 25-12, 25-17 straight set victory.

Mount Union had a hitting percentage of .333 as a team while offense was led by juniors Caitlyn Synek (Independence/Independence) and Emma Mathieson (Tallmadge/Tallmadge) who tallied 11 and nine kills on the day. Junior Kelly Johnson (McMurray, Pa./Peters Township) led the Raiders in assists with dishing out 21.

As a team, the Raiders also had 18 total blocks with freshman Kyleigh Jackson (Galloway/Westland) having seven.

Defensively for the Raiders, freshman Allison Baird (North Royalton/North Royalton) led with 13 while sophomore Celia Barrett (University Heights/Hathaway Brown) had seven.

Mount Union's hosts John Carroll Tuesday, October 27 at 7 pm for Senior Night.
