ADA, Ohio- Mount Union's volleyball team dropped their last match of the season to No. 25 Ohio Northern in the quarterfinals of the Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament Tuesday.

The Purple Raiders (15-13) were defeated by the Polar Bears (23-5) by scores of 20-25, 12-25, and 23-25.

Offensively, Mount Union was led by Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) with 12 kills. Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) sparked the offense leading the team with 23 assists. Defensively, Allison Baird led the team with 25 digs.

In the first set the Raiders kept it a close game with four ties but the Polar Bears pulled it out with a 25-20 win. The second set, Ohio Northern started out with a fast 4-1 lead and led the rest of the game defeating Mount Union 25-12.

The Polar Bears led most of the third set, but the Raiders came back to tie it up late in the set 18-18. Ohio Northern didn't let that stop them, and finished the set defeating Mount Union 25-23.

The Raiders ended their season with a 15-13 overall record and a 4-5 record in the Ohio Athletic Conference.
