STEUBENVILLE, Ohio-- The Mount Union men's tennis team won their third match in a row defeating Franciscan, 5-4, Monday.
The Purple Raiders advance to 8-2 overall.
Malcolm Leake (Fremont/Fremont Ross) and Rob DeMarco (North Canton/Hoover) defeated Zach and Joe Quiza in the number one and two position.
Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/St. Edward) and Chandler Mastin (Broken Arrow, Okla./Cowanesque Valley) also defeated Franciscan in the number four and six singles position as the Barons took the number three and five spot.
Mount Union was edged out in two doubles matches but came out on top with team of DeMarco and Williams in the number one position winning 8-3.
The Raiders open Ohio Athletic Conference play hosting Otterbein in the first home match of the 2015 season Saturday, Mar. 22 at 1:00 pm at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
