MARIETTA, Ohio-- The University of Mount Union men's tennis team won their second match in a row defeating Marietta 9-0 Tuesday.

The Purple Raiders advance to 11-4 overall (3-2 OAC) as Marietta falls to 2-8 overall (0-2 OAC).

The Raiders got an early 3-0 lead sweeping all three doubles matches with Malcolm Leake (Fremont/Fremont Ross) and Jackson Schneider (Oregon, WI/Oregon) defeating the Pioneers 8-0 in the second spot.

In singles action, Mount Union earned the remaining six points with Leake defeating Alex Schaeffer, 6-1 and 6-1 in the number one position.

Mount Union next hosts Capital Saturday, April 11 at 1 pm at the Whitehill Tennis Courts in Alliance.
