CLEVELAND, Ohio- The No. 19 ranked Mount Union volleyball team lost to undefeated Case Western Reserve 27-25, 25-16, 25-18 Wednesday night.

The Purple Raiders (6-4) were led by sophomore Mallory Sliman (Amherst/Amherst Steele) with nine kills and sophomore Morgan Chapman (Seven Fields, Pa./Seneca Valley) with 15 digs. Sophomore Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) led Mount Union in assists with 20.

The first set went back and fourth between the two teams but Mount Union fell by a close score of 27-25.

In the last two sets, the Raiders then fell 25-16 and 25-18. 

Mount Union was haunted by having 28 hitting errors during this three set match.

Case Western Reserve (10-0) received a double-double from Carolyn Bogart with 14 kills and 11 digs.

Mount Union next takes on Hanover (Ind.) and Ohio Wesleyan Friday in Delaware, Ohio.
