DELAWARE, Ohio- The No. 19 Mount Union volleyball team started the night off with a 3-0 win over Hanover but ended with a loss to Ohio Wesleyan.

The Purple Raiders swept Hanover in a 25-21, 25-21, 25-23 straight set victory.

Mount Union was led by sophomores Brooke Knollman (Powell/Olentangy Liberty) and Morgan Chapman (Seven Fields, Pa./Seneca Valley) each having 10 kills. Allison Baird led in digs with 11 while Riley Schenk (Lorain/Amherst Steele) led in assits with 26.

In the second match Mount Union was defeated by Ohio Wesleyan 27-25, 26-28, 16-25, 26-24, 13-15.

In a close match, Knollman led the team with 17 kills while Schenk dished out 48 assists. Baird led the team in digs with 20.

The volleyball team plays at home on Tuesday, Sept. 22 against Hiram College at 7pm.
