ALLIANCE, Ohio – The Mount Union men's soccer team defeated the Allegheny Gators 2-1 on Wednesday night.

Mount Union (3-2-1) struck first in the 30^th minute on a rebound goal by sophomore Jesse Tinney (Heidelberg, Pa./Chartiers Valley) to put the Raiders up 1-0.

The Raiders scored again in the second half at the 49:41 minute mark on a goal from senior Mitchell Tiah (Grayson, Ga./Grayson) off of an assist from Todd Cooper (Chagrin Falls/Kenston) to put Mount Union up 2-0.

Allegheny (1-7-1) got on the board in the 66^th minute on a goal by Jacob Hanko off of a pass from Izaak Miller to cut the Raider lead down to 2-1.

Mount Union next travels to Waynesburg (Pa.) on Saturday, September 26 at 7 pm.
