ERIE, Pa- Mount Union's Men's Tennis team defeats Penn State-Behrend 9-0 in a non-conference match Friday.

The Purple Raiders advance to 1-1 on the season.

The Raiders swept the doubles play with Rob Demarco (North Canton/Hoover) and Jeff Williams (Cleveland Heights/St. Edwards) defeating PSU's Yanique Apgar and Mike Russell 8-3 in position one while Malcolm Leake (Fremont/Fremont Ross) and Jackson Schnieder (Oregon, Wis./Oregon) defeated PSU's Nick Kapty and Michael Funera 8-0 in the second position. 

In singles action, the Purple Raiders shut out the Lions with winning all six matches.

Mount Union competes in its final game of the fall season, away at Grove City College Thursday, Oct. 3 at 3:30pm.
