ALLIANCE, Ohio- Mount Union's women's basketball team lost to No. 21 ranked Ohio Northern, 66-53 in an Ohio Athletic Conference game Wednesday at the McPherson Academic and Athletic Complex.

The Purple Raiders are now 9-3 overall and 3-2 in the OAC.

Mount Union had three players in double figures as Annie Bova (Parma Heights/Beaumont) scored 11, Bella Pecchia (North Ridgeville/North Ridgeville) and Katie Reed (Alliance/Marlington) each scored 10 points.

Amy Bullimore finished with a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds as Ohio Northern is now 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the OAC.

Mount Union ran out to a 12-7 lead in the first four minutes with six points each from Reed and Pecchia and kept the advantage leading 21-18 at the end of the first quarter.

The Raiders went cold offensively in the second quarter and was outscored by the Polar Bears 11-6 in the second quarter to trail 29-27 at the half.

Ohio Northern opened the third quarter on an 8-2 run to extend the lead to 37-29.  The Raiders rallied on a three-point play from Bova but the Polar Bears would retake control to push the lead back out to 46-37 at the end of the quarter.

The Raiders would get no closer than seven points the rest of the way.

Mount Union hosts Wilmington Saturday, Jan. 9 at 3:00 p.m.
