ADA, Ohio -- The Mount Union men's soccer team gave No. 12 in the nation Ohio Northern all it could handle Saturday night before falling 1-0 in the Ohio Athletic Conference opener in Ada.

Ohio Northern's Chris Garbig tallied the game's only score off a rebound for 20 yards out in the 82nd minute to keep the Polar Bears unbeaten on the season at 11-0-1 and 1-0 in the OAC.

Mount Union (1-4-3, 0-1 OAC) managed seven shots but could not get any past Northern keeper Dean McNeil.

Senior keeper Dylan Lias (Cuyahoga Falls/Cuyahoga Falls) kept the Raiders in the match as he recorded five saves.

Mount Union next plays Baldwin Wallace in an OAC match Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 7 p.m. in Berea.
